All work for the week needs to be completed before you can work on extra credit. Extra credit projects can only be completed for the week on which they are listed on this schedule and must be turned in by the last class of that week. You must get permission from your teacher to work on extra credit.
Research the English programs and classes at colleges and universities that you may consider applying to. Try to research at least five different schools. Compare their programs for:
Write a detailed report of your findings in a succint, organized manner. You may want to use tables or a spreadsheet to organize your information. A mindmap might also be useful.
You can take up to one month to complete this project, but you must complete each week's assigned work before working on this in class.
Write a narrative that uses as its setting a current event from the past week. This might be an ongoing event or an event that took place in the past week. Your story must be at least 1,000 words for full credit.
Option 3 is the same as Option 1, but for a subject area of your choice (i.e., engineering, music), with permission of your teacher.
